1.Review your unit 3 personal assessment of your psychological, physical, and spiritual well-being. Reflect on these areas . How did you score yourself on a scale from 1 to 10 in unit 3? How do you score yourself now? Has the score changed? Why or why not?
I can honestly say that myself assessment has have not improved a whole lot since our unit 3 assessment, but I am still working to the point where I would like to be. Now, I could say that my spiritual being has went up from a 4 to a 7 because I feel that my faith is stronger now than it was 7 weeks ago since taking this class.
2.Review the goals and activities you set for yourself in each area. Have you made progress toward the goals? Explain.
I have made some progress with my goals. I am focusing more on meditation because this is something that I would love to become good at for a few reasons, such as reducing negative thoughts, reducing stress and making better personal decisions.
3.Have you implemented the activities you chose for your well-being in each of the three areas? Explain.
I have been focusing on the Subtle mind practice for the past 4 weeks. It's not an easy practice for me but I am making small improvements. Loving-kindness is something that I do not have a problem with. I feel like I was born with the Loving-kindness technique.
4.Summarize your personal experience throughout this course. Have you developed improved well-being? What has been rewarding? What has been difficult? How will this experience improve your ability to assist others?
I have had a great personal experience with this course. I felt that I have had some improvement in this course but I am still working on becoming better. Practicing the SUBTLE MIND technique has been the most difficult part of this course and I guess the reason is because I have went 27 years with training my mind in such a way and to start training it now is going to take a lot of work. Once I become better at these techniques I can truly give great tips and advice to others to help them become a healthier person.

UNIT 9 PROJECT
I. Why is it important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically? What areas do you need to develop to achieve the goals you have for yourself?
ANSWER: In my opinion it is important for health and wellness professionals to develop psychologically, spiritually and physically because in order for the professionals to be efficient in treating their patients they must go through the developments of each of the 3 aspects and get to know them intimately. I feel that I need to develop in all 3 aspects in order for me to achieve my goal; I know that I am a beginner in this field of practice so it might take me a while to get up to the standards.
II. How have you assessed your health in each domain? How do you score your wellness spiritually, physically, and psychologically?
ANSWER: I feel that I can’t truly assess my health in each domain as a professional. I feel that I am still a beginner or rookie in this field of practice. I would say that in the biological aspect I would rate myself as 9 out of 10. The reason I say this is because it has been years since I have been sick. I go for a doctor’s check-up twice a year and all signs always good. Knock on wood that it stays that way. Also I would say that in my worldly aspect of my life, I would also rate that a 9 out of 10. The reason I say that is because I feel that I have a great social life with plenty of friends. Some are closer than others but they are all my good friends. I meet new people every week and it’s always good to meet new people. I score myself spiritually 9 out of 10 because I am one who has always had plenty of faith. Whenever anything negative happens in my life, I hardly ever panic and always try to keep a positive mind. Physically, I think that I am also 9 out of 10 in this aspect because I work out 4 to 5 times a week and my body feels great. Psychologically, I would rate myself a 5 out of 10. Although I always try to keep a positive mind in negative situations, I still have random negative thoughts from time to time.
III. List at least one goal you have for yourself in each area, Physical, Psychological (mental health) and Spiritual.
ANSWER: One goal that I have for my physical aspect is to become injury free. I have to constantly remind myself to stretch before playing basketball. Even though I am only 27 years of age I have to stretch before basketball. When I was younger I hardly ever stretched out. I pulled a groin back January and it took two months for it to fully heal. Psychologically, my goal is to stop the random negative thoughts by continuing to practice meditation, which I hope will reduce the negative thoughts that I have at times. Spiritually, I planned to have better vision for my future. My vision is to help others who can hardly help themselves.
IV. What strategies can you implement to foster growth in each of the following domains; Physical, Psychological, and Spiritual. Provide at least two examples of exercises or practices in each domain. Explain how you will implement each example.
ANSWER: For my physical domain, I plan on doing more hot yoga. I feel that hot yoga gives my body a great work out and also gives me a peaceful mind, which brings my mind and body into one and I believe this will give me a psychological growth. I plan on practicing more of subtle mind and the loving-kindness. Spiritually, I will continue to keep my faith and say my prayers every morning and night and continue to have vision to help others.
V. How will you assess your progress or lack of progress in the next six months? What strategies can you use to assist in maintaining your long-term practices for health and wellness?
ANSWER: I plan on keeping a journal entry in which I will make notes in it every day of my progress. I will use this journal entry to see my progress and know where I need to put more focus at. I feel that this is a great way to assess my progress.
